M/S Amerika is a popular French/Danish restaurant in the old and elegant Storehouse 12 on the Free Port in Østerbro. The restaurant is beautifully designed with high ceilings, modern chandeliers and walls decorated in white, red and gold. During the summer months the restaurant has outdoor serving on the pier, where guests can enjoy the beautiful views of the harbour front.
M/S Amerika is open both for lunch and dinner and serves dishes inspired by the French and Danish culinary traditions. The quality at M/S Amerika is very high, yet the restaurant offers very reasonable prices.
During lunch hours, M/S Amerika serves a 2 or 3-course lunch menu based on the Danish speciality ‘smørrebrød’ – a must for anyone wishing to taste the famous Danish open sandwich. In the evening the style is predominantly French, with dishes such as lobster bisque, steak tartare and crème brûlée. Guests can accompany their meal with one of the restaurant’s many European wines or, for lunch, a Danish beer and snaps.
M/S Amerika is located on Amerikakaj, very close to the Little Mermaid, and is only a few minutes' walk from Østerport train station.
