Food is overall excellent with the desserts being the standout. While not particularly bad, I didn't think that the level of service was that of a 5 star establishment.

Food is very nice, but €7 for a tea and coffee is way overpriced.

Have to say I was very impressed. We were a party of 5 and our table was lovely. The atmosphere is cost and warm and very relaxing. The bar area is very welcoming and great for pre dinner drinks. Will definitely be having dinner here again.

Food and surroundings were beautiful but service was very poor. Served our own tea and ordered champagne which was forgotten about twice by the waitress looking after our group. So disappointed that this ruined an experience we were really looking forward to.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at the merrion but the restaurant was disappointing. The food did not match the 5 star hotel ratings. We both ordered the fillet steak and although cooked perfectly the steak itself was quite tough and did not cut easily like fillet should..the chips were overdone although the mash was good.we both had quail for starters and the portion size were very small and seemed slightly tough.however the service was excellent and it was a nice touch for the little brownies for my birthday which was a lovely surprise
