With striking views of Tower Bridge from the elegant terrace, Le Pont de la Tour exudes an air of elegant refinement. Sublime French brasserie-style dishes and one of London's best wine lists can be experienced in the tranquil marine-inspired dining room with riverside views.

Blending French classicism with modern touches, the Pont de la Tour menu includes duck parmentier with truffle and Madeira jus or fresh crustacea like Kaspia Royal Baccari caviar and whole grilled lobster. The famous Sunday roast beef at Le Pont de la Tour London is popular, executed with immaculate presentation.

To sit outside in April, in London, without numerous clothes on for dinner is great in itself. 3 friends and I went for a birthday meal and I must say from the begin to end the overall experience was wonderful. The food, wine, service and atmosphere were all top notch. I was slightly worried as we booked the [$] 3 course meal + bubbles, however the choices were excellent and the service no different. I would recommend this restaurant without any hesitation. Many thanks for a great evening.

We lunched on a Saturday on the 3 course special which included a glass of champagne. This was to celerate my 50th birthday and our request for a table in the window was more or less met - the tables in the window are for 2 so we were just a little bit back from the window. Views were stunning as was everything about the restaurant, staff were very attentive but not intrusive and food was gorgeous. Wine was a little expensive so we just had the champagne accompanied by tap water but I guess it was no more expensive than other top London restaurants. The list was very extensive.

A towering example of fine dining

We dined at 6, the perfect time for hungry early evening diners like ourselves when the waiting staff is primed and ready for action but with a mere handful of covers to attend. The myriad faces attending to our culinary needs were smiley and welcoming. All dishes were skilfully cooked and elegantly presented and it felt like eating at home such was the relaxed nature of the evening.
One thing did get up my nose or rather the noses of my guests - the stunning but malodorous lilies on and beside our table. Though nothing to sniff at, perhaps management could consider potential asthma- and hay fever-sufferers and have alternative table decorations.
