I booked the Mad Hatters tea for a birthday celebration. It was a great experience and the staff were very attentive and helpful. One of my party had special dietary requirements which were met. The food ws great. I would love your recipe for lime bread and savoury scones!

Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea is lovely at the Sanderson Hotel. I was surprised at how pretty the decor was inside - against a backdrop of water fountains and plants. The attention to detail of the food is impeccable and the service and staff were hugely friendly and helpful. The sandwiches aren't the best (I particularly didn't like the lime bread) however I'd give the pastries 8/10. Lots of nice and different quirky teas too. Lovely for a special occasion.

Afternoon tea was very nice. We had to wait 15 mins for our table and then we were not seated in the courtyard at the proper tables. I did request happy birthday cake for my mums birthday and that didn't materialise. Service was slow too. After all that we managed to enjoy the day

A fantastic experience , loved the attention to detail. Staff very efficient and courteous. The only thing I would say is the staff were all very serious and one or two seemed quite glum, not really fitting for a Mad Hatters tea party. A few smiles would have been lovely

I arrived at the Sanderson with my best friend at 1:10 and out afternoon experience was to begin at 2pm.

We ordered some cocktails in the mean time and were seated 20 minutes earlier than expected which was great.

We dined in the courtyard which we were hoping for as the weather was gorgeous. The staff were very attentive and the food was creative and delicious.

I didn't have a napkin or knife when I was seated but this was given to be straightaway when I asked for them.

Unfortunately they didn't have the strawberry and cream tea my friend wanted to try however the apple pie tea was amazing!

I would definitely recommend this experience!

Just don't forget the discretionary service charge that add on the bill!
