Excellent experience. Unique afternoon tea on a Mad Hatters tea party theme which sets it out as a different experience amongst all the other hotels offering afternoon tea. I chose the strawberry and cream tea infusion, very refreshing and a unique blend/flavour. The selection of sandwiches, cakes, quiche was truly superb and there was plenty to eat including fresh home made jelly to finish the experience. It was very busy with all tables booked and staff were very attentive & efficient. A good ambience was evident. From the outside the Sanderson looks like a boring office block but once you get inside the whole experience kicks off and you feel in a different world. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a different experience and appreciates quality and requires something a little bit out of the ordinary

Even though this was booked through Bookatable on an offer they charged full price and I had to ask to amend and show email. Slightly embarrassing

Went for afternoon tea. Very unattentive service. Stale food. Asked for water twice & got it half an hour after the second request.

Very welcoming, friendly and attentive staff. Napkins had riddles wrapped around them which was a lovely touch. Beautifully presented food and tea pots and coffee replenished regularly. Although we've all got very sweet teeth, we felt there could have been more sandwiches and savoury scones and less sweet options - though it didn't stop us eating most of it!! Delightful and I'd be happy to recommend this to anyone - in fact, I already have!

This was the second time I’ve had afternoon tea, the first time I enjoyed and was the reason I decided to go back. Although the cakes and sandwiches all look very cute, we were left very disappointed. The bread on all the sandwiches were soggy and there was hardly any filling, especially in the egg sandwiches. The scones were also dry. We felt that it was more of a novelty that unfortunately didn’t deliver on taste. Definitely not worth the money.
