The ambiance was relaxed and the service excellent. The tea was original and delicious, and the surroundings were lovely with the Japanese style garden and water feature.

Really well designed and presented afternoon tea. All details covered to make it a mad hatters tea party, even crazy tea flavours and a drink me potion! Tasted great too!

I booked the mad hatters tea for my sister in law birthday at the Sanderson hotel booking was easy and stress free we arrived at our tea and were taking to our table which was out in the court yard which was covered over so you felt like you were outside but were warm and comfortable under a big orning with heaters. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you we all tried the different teas and when our tea came it was magical with marshmallow mushrooms and carrots drink me potion that when you shut your eyes and drank it you thought you were on a tropical island chocolate cups with mouse in Victoria sponges cheesecakes sweet and savoury scones and different bread sandwiches all served on Alice in wonderland china and tea pots you really felt like you were at the mad hatters tea party. We all had a fantastic day and would defiantly be goin back.

wonderful from start to finish. Food amazing and offered more sandwiches and scones more than once but had to decline as was plenty for us 2. More fresh tea if required even if you want a different blend.
Lovely welcome and service well worth the extra 15%. Had table for 2 hours and wasn't rushed at all.even though very busy. The staff are amazingly friendly and attentive.

Mad Hatter's Afternoon Tea

It was a pleasant experience but was lacking in a few areas, we went for afternoon tea but was disappointed with a few things firstly this was not cheap and a lot of the crockery was damaged things were missing from the table had to wait a long time for things as was busy and not many staff. In comparison to other hotels this was by far the worst value for money and would not return.

A very nice quirky afternoon tea. Plenty to eat. Staff very pleasant and tell you to ask if you want any more sandwiches, tea etc. Unlike teas in other 5 star establisments the staff are not watching to see who needs more tea and you do have to ask. That would make the service great and what is really expected nowadays. The cakes and scones were delicious and there is a good selection of teas. I would recommend asking for a proper chair. It is difficult to sit on a cube with no back support for a couple of hours!
