My friend and I were greeted at the door and shown to the restaurant reception where we were seated immediately. The waitress then explained the menu and left us with 3 sample flavours of tea to see if we would like to try them with our meal. The pots of tea served in novelty teapots were served quickly followed shortly afterwards by the sandwiches and cakes. They looked beautiful and each one was explained to us. The staff showed just the right amount of attentiveness and nothing was too much trouble, the surroundings were nice and we enjoyed every bite of the afternoon tea.

I purchased the experience for my partner and her daughter for her daughters birthday. They were both thoroughly impressed with the whole experience including the venue and the quality of the food and drink. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Excellent. We all had a great time. The afternoon tea was so creative and tasted as good as it looked.

This 1960/70's office building looks pretty drab outside, inside however it has ben transformed, in most cases beautifully, although the paintwork on the green staircases looked like it had been rushed. The staff were very welcoming, we were early but we were taken to our table without any fuss. The menu is pretty much fixed apart from dietry requirements where changes will be made, our vegetarian was well looked after. The quality of sandwiches was good, the cakes and scones were excellent, although perhaps more imagination from the chefs would have been nice.

Excellent experience. Unique afternoon tea on a Mad Hatters tea party theme which sets it out as a different experience amongst all the other hotels offering afternoon tea. I chose the strawberry and cream tea infusion, very refreshing and a unique blend/flavour. The selection of sandwiches, cakes, quiche was truly superb and there was plenty to eat including fresh home made jelly to finish the experience. It was very busy with all tables booked and staff were very attentive & efficient. A good ambience was evident. From the outside the Sanderson looks like a boring office block but once you get inside the whole experience kicks off and you feel in a different world. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a different experience and appreciates quality and requires something a little bit out of the ordinary

Even though this was booked through Bookatable on an offer they charged full price and I had to ask to amend and show email. Slightly embarrassing

Went for afternoon tea. Very unattentive service. Stale food. Asked for water twice & got it half an hour after the second request.
