There was a live musician which made for nice atmosphere. Food was good but not exceptional & seemed overpriced. There are so many amazing restaurants in London and I found Roast quite average , so I would not dine here again.

I had booked the £35 deal for a birthday celebration and sadly the experience was disappointing. The food could not be faulted, but unfortunately only one of the 3 main course options shown on the menu was available and only one alternative was offered. We were only made aware of this when we were half way through ordering our food and my order for one of the unavailable items had been taken. We were, to say the very least, disappointed that our menu choices could not be fulfilled and feel that offering only one alternative option was inadequate. The service can best be described as erratic - no less than 3 people came to check if we had made our wine choices and a beer that was ordered never arrived. The carafe of red wine that we had ordered was corked. This was immediately replaced and we were not charged for it. It was only at this point that the waiter offered anything by way of apology and acknowledged the limited menu choices that we had been offered.

Excellent! 'Star deal' began with a delicious cocktail that definitely hit the spot! Food was brilliant, tho my gorgeous whole Dover sole was perhaps not the best choice when I wanted to chat with my guest as well as eat LOL. My apple & blackberry crumble with custard also great.... as was the efficiency & service. The bottle of Chardonnay was fabulous too. Star deal was £35pp, but when the bottle of water, bottle of wine, two side dishes & the (optional) 12.5% service was added on, the total bill (for 2) was £130.11.

Lovely location, very good food, service was excellent. Only slight downside was that it was quite noisy - piano/singer and the general noise of diners meant I found it a bit difficult to have a proper conversation with my friends but that's my only criticism.
