We visited on a Monday for a late lunch so very empty but no complaints regarding the food or service. Its expensive, but worth it - no comparison with a bog standard indian restaurant. I really don't understand the [$] per cover charge added to the final bill - as a percentage of our total spend it was tiny but just seems a bit cynical and an unnecessary blot on an otherwise lovely experience.

We went for dinner as a young couple, profiting from the last night of the festival menu as part of London Restaurant Week. It was partly an experiment as I have never found Indian food to be truly exceptional/Michelin star level and Moti Mahal came highly recommended. Well, I had to eat my words as some of the food was utterly outstanding. In fact most, particularly the chicken dishes (I ordered a lamb main which was hugely disappointing compared with the rest). My partner also had a non-alcoholic lychee cocktail which was simply delicious.
