With stunning views over London from its 7th-floor rooftop garden setting, Babylon at The Roof Gardens is a chic restaurant serving delicious cuisine and cocktails, 100 feet above Kensington High Street.

Just around the corner from High Street Kensington Tube Station and surrounded by trendy shops, Babylon is a splendid restaurant for families (children are welcome), couples seeking a romantic meal, friends on a shopping spree, and business colleagues.

The frequently changing menu of classic and contemporary British dishes makes for an eclectic selection, and the Babylon Terrace always entices guests to dine al fresco in the summer months. A seafood and champagne bar boasts glorious panoramic views of the city in the summer, and in the winter months cosy up under blankets on the terrace. Babylon in Kensington also offers a selection of baked cheeses and delicious fresh breads.

Private dining areas are also available, for celebrating special occasions, or just enjoying a more intimate meal. Live jazz music accompanies the dinner service on Tuesday nights at Babylon in London.

Diners are welcome to explore The Roof Gardens on the 6th floor, however the gardens are often hired for private events so we strongly recommend you phone ahead.

Dined with the Restaurant month set menu, the food was very tasty. The cheesecake was heavenly, the best I've ever had and it's not one of my most favourate deserts usually. The only thing I would say - my friend doesn't really eat fish or a few other (milk) products so all she was left with was this egg starter and that was just alright...

We were unfortunately overall disappointed with this restaurant. It is a fairly expensive fixed menu £40 for 2 courses and sadly the quality of the food was nothing to rave about. Had the food been amazing then we would not have been worried about the price. The cocktails came watered down. The staff were very accommodating and quickly reordered the drinks and gave us a free Calvados for the issues with the meal. But sadly we will not be visiting again. We also did not get offered to visit the gardens which may have made up for the evening.

The lift doors opened to reveal a charming green decor and a bright, sunny room with an amazing view of London. The food was well-presented and delicious, and there were very large portions. The chateaubriand was cooked to perfection, pink and very tender. The price means that lunch at Babylon is a special treat for us, but the food and service were excellent.

5 of us dined at lunchtime on Friday 17th October. Food was OK but not as good as we had previously (two of us had been previously). However, the service was excellent and we all enjoyed our visit.

Highly recommended. The whole atmosphere was welcoming and very efficent without being formal. The food was delicous, enjoyed by all and the service was by people who could smile!
My son has a nut allergy and upon arrival was identified by the waiter ,advised on the menu and even went to consult the chef when he was unsure of the ingredients.
The roof garden was beautiful and we were allowed to wander freely , seeing the stream with ducks and a Flamingo was surreal as we were 6 floors above street level.. If we lived nearer London we would happily return on a regular basis.

fantastic location. we had our 7 year old son with us and the menu catered very well for him The magician that was walking about was amazing and even I was taken in by him . The food was the correct temperature and well presented. The service was great, not too much intervention whilst eating. Wine was lovely, will definitely be going back
