I'd booked this restaurant solely on reviews that I had read.....I was very disappointed. The service was mediocre, the food was poor and drinks expensive. They claim the views are amazing.....not true and the food lacked imagination and was extremely oily.......in short not good.

I went there with friends for lunch on a glorious Spring Day. We've chosen from the set menu and food was delicious, deserts out of this world. But I have to say that what makes the experience truly out of this world is the location: those magnific views with the Roof Gardens and its pink flamingos on your feet make you feel in paradise...in the middle of London!

We loved Babylon, but over priced for what you got. I have been to alot better restaurants in terms of food and service at a better price. We booked a table for Friday night at 8 pm. Felt rushed the whole time. It was made quite clear that our table was going to be used at 10.30 pm., but having paid a high price you would expect more. No sooner had you eaten, than they swept your plates away. Love the ambiance and the views over London and the special occasion, but for all that money would probably have preferred to have booked a restaurant where the food was better and cheaper and could have enjoyed a more relaxed atmosphere. You pay for the location unfortunately, food OK but have had better in Cornwall. We originally booked for Sunday lunch and had to cancel, so may be better value at other times. Didn't help that people on the next table were complaining about the service. Bit disappointed, but on the whole a special occasion so made the most of it. I think this restaurant have to cover their overheads and boy do they make the most of it, topping up your glass at every occasion. Not convinced. Enjoyed the experience, but felt ripped off and rushed.

Took three friends to this restaurant for lunch special , it was not dissapointing everything about the meal was great, waiter polite and friendly , good service smart decor, food plus the little extras were a lovely surprise
everything about the meal was lovely and the portions very good , the view of London was breathtaking even gave us a card with the places hihglighted to see what we were looking at
But most of all the cost of the meal was superb, I would highly recommend this Virgin restaurant to anyone, thank you

My friends and I went for lunch on Thursday having booked a star deal at [$] for 3 courses and including a glass of champagne. The food was delicious and the portions generous - something that isn't always the case on "cheap deals". Two of us didn't particularly enjoy our desert; a matter of our choice rather than execution. But nonetheless, the staff brought us another glass of champagne each as consolation! Following that the Restaurant Manager,[...], came by our table to chat. What a charming man who certainly bore out Virgin's advertising of not having to be a rock star to receive rock star treatment. We were invited into the lounge to sample some of the 75th anniversary cocktails, served to us by our very own spiritual adviser. Brilliant!

We had a great time and enjoyed the gardens despite the cold. The food was good as were the cocktails and it was buzzy and busy.

Visited on a Saturday night to celebrate a wedding anniversary. The restaurant was very busy so we waited in the bar. This area is not a bar. It is totally inadequate. The interior decoration follows a pretty standard formula. The background music was really good but the quality of the sound system awful. Food was fairly good but overpriced. I certainly would not recommend this restaurant, there are many places which provide a similar experience and quality of food at a much better price.
