Blue Elephant brings authentic Royal Thai cuisine to London, with an exotic and enticing menu. A popular restaurant on Fulham Broadway, the superb food is served amidst tropical foliage and lush water gardens.

I went to this restaurant for a dinner reservation and I will definitly be going back. It was a lovely atmosphere and extremlely friendly staff. The food was amazing, very delicious and a great choice to choose from. Overall a fantastic experience and will be returning soon.

Unecessarily dissappointing

The visit to the new location of Blue Elephant is truly disheartening. While the restaurant was located in one of London's prime locations, it now is hosting guests in a remote area that is little frequented and will ultimately leed to loosing its core clientele that the restaurant enjoyed over the past.

As a previous regular customer I nevertheless did take the effort to the new location. However, not only has the restaurant sacrificed a good location but it has compromised on its ambience and authenticity.

While Fulham broadway showed a truly exotic ambience that also kept noise levels to a minimum, the new location is much more set up as a regular restaurant. Its interior is nice but no longer extraordinary.

Today, local Thai specialties are no longer featured in its long and unncessarily complex menu. The food was good but now equals the cuisine and quality of most other sophisticated Thai restaurants in London. This also means that the cuisine is much more western that it used to be and it lost its advantage over any other place.

Combine this with the effort one has to take to its new location and there is no longer a single reason to frequent the restaurant other than if you are an occupant of the local apartment buildings.

The staff is concerned to direct its guests to the menu rather than to provide genuine advice and recommendations and it is felt that its members themselve do not support the changes of the restaurant themselves.

My advice to its owner is to reconsider their strategy and wish them the best of luck in a difficult environment.

My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary, it was a saturday early night 7.30 pm, the service is delightful, I felt like a princess, every detail was looked after. My only downside, was that my main course was a bit coldish.. I would love to have it hotter. The food was lovely, so tasty and beautifully presented. Besides the cold dish, everything was brilliant, loved that the actual plates were served hot for the mains, and the cold ones (desserts) were cold, I think that was a great attention to detail. Definetely want to come back and to recommend it to friends!!

Dined on a Saturday 1pm. The best thing about the meal were the fresh coconut and Enoki seafood salad. The chicken satay was a big disappointment, while the red rice and pad thai were pretty much a usual fare.

I have booked a table for romantic bday dinner for a monday evening and must say it was probably the best time,because the restaurant wasnt full.We got the best table in the house,just near to the pond.It was so romantic and lovely.My friend was so surprise with the design and spirituality of the place.It really feel like we are in the middle of Thailand.We have ordered coctails and champagne and both were excellent.Food was beautifful,especialy the salmon tartar and green curry.This was our first visit in Blue Elephant and i must say we both fell in love with this place.
