More about OXO Tower Brasserie

Perched on the 8th floor of Oxo Tower on London’s South Bank, Oxo Tower Brasserie affords sensational views across London and the Thames from its al fresco dining terrace and dining area. The floor-to-ceiling windows flood the elegant venue with natural light, while the sleek and minimal décor makes it the chicest sky-high restaurant in London.

With a state-of-the-art open-plan kitchen, head chef Deon Jansen serves up contemporary Mediterranean flavours with immaculate presentation. Enjoy spiced venison ragu served with curly kale and parmesan, or scallops with fried coconut cake and tomato kasundi. Many meat dishes are cooked over charcoal on the josper grill, creating a rich BBQ flavour that is perfect for al fresco dining.

An excellent cocktail list accompanies the menu, and their innovative ‘not afternoon tea’ menu offers a contemporary take on afternoon tea in London. A selection of themed desserts is served up with an expertly-paired cocktail, such as white chocolate parfait, accompanied by a dry chocolate cocktail.

With incredible views across the city, Oxo Tower Brasserie in London sits 8 minutes’ walk from Southwark Tube Station.

As usual the service, quality of food and the ambiance were all excellent. We even managed to spend a short amount of time on the balcony taking photographs of the stunning views before the rain came down heavily!

A warm welcome on arrival, light and airy restaurant, superb views over the river, attentive and friendly service and delicious food. I couldn't fault it. My pumpkin gnocchi in a creamy pesto and black olive sauce was out-of-this-world, so full of flavour. Not exactly inexpensive, but certainly good value. Highly recommend a visit.

I had a lovely experience. The staff was very friendly, the food very tasty and the location very beautiful.

The only "negative aspect" is that as a Brasserie should not be that expensive.

Service good, cocktail excellent and food good. Overall very good value for money. (However, a bit nosiy and background music quite strange plus strong heat gain through glass)

Limited choice but excellent food. Starting with the aperitif that had unusual flavours, included in the £30 - 3 course early evening menu. We all had gazpacho beautifully presented with crisp bread and cheese, initially hidden by a mound of watercress. The duck meat fell off the leg and again the medley of flavours delighted the tongue. Sides were extra and we shared broccoli, too firm for our preference, and fries. The three of us had a different dessert and agreed they were all delightful. Our bottle of red wine was well served and up to standard. Service was attentive but not invasive. Only criticism, cafe tables and chairs laid out in lines and the hard surfaces did nothing to lower the noise level. There were several parties present and I would not like to go to this venue for a quiet tete a tete. Thunderstorm clouds added to the interesting panorama of the London skyline. Excellent location on the South Bank, good value for money, we will return. Our special offer was for early dining so we did not experience the duo guitarists starting as we left.
