More about OXO Tower Brasserie

Perched on the 8th floor of Oxo Tower on London’s South Bank, Oxo Tower Brasserie affords sensational views across London and the Thames from its al fresco dining terrace and dining area. The floor-to-ceiling windows flood the elegant venue with natural light, while the sleek and minimal décor makes it the chicest sky-high restaurant in London.

With a state-of-the-art open-plan kitchen, head chef Deon Jansen serves up contemporary Mediterranean flavours with immaculate presentation. Enjoy spiced venison ragu served with curly kale and parmesan, or scallops with fried coconut cake and tomato kasundi. Many meat dishes are cooked over charcoal on the josper grill, creating a rich BBQ flavour that is perfect for al fresco dining.

An excellent cocktail list accompanies the menu, and their innovative ‘not afternoon tea’ menu offers a contemporary take on afternoon tea in London. A selection of themed desserts is served up with an expertly-paired cocktail, such as white chocolate parfait, accompanied by a dry chocolate cocktail.

With incredible views across the city, Oxo Tower Brasserie in London sits 8 minutes’ walk from Southwark Tube Station.

Last August I had a lovely birthday meal. We were welcomed and asked if it was a special trip and by daughter mentioned my birthday and the staff were fantastic. Even giving me a candle in my dessert. Oh dear what a difference a year can make. This year very disappointing. The food is fantastic. The service awful. Attention to customers? None. Last year had a lovely welcome, this year they seemed unable to find the booking (even though they rang me to confirm) told to sit in bar. It felt a shambolic. We were taken to our table late, which was only laid for 3 & the waitress seemed shocked that there were 4 of us! Waiter only poured 3 glasses of wine then disappeared with the bottle! After dessert told we had to vacate the table (which was annoying considering that they sat us down late) we sat in the bar in a wind tunnel as the door was open to the balcony so we decided to give up. Trying to get the bill was horrendous. There are so many staff but none of them pay any attention. The food is absolutely fantastic - I feel so sorry for the chefs because the front of house is letting you down.

Brasserie was VERY noisy, although we were sat near a speaker. They need to dial down the power. Food was ok but nothing special, certainly not for the price they charge. Service was a bit slow, our last drinks took over 1/2 hour to arrive.

The location is probably one of the best places in London, and our table was close to the window which gave us great views of the City. The starter and the main courses were a little cold and our waiter did struggle a little bit with our order. We tried to order some Prosecco to go with our main course and he did not understand our request at all.

We booked to celebrate a special wedding anniversary and asked to sit on the terrace. Unfortunately the weather was too bad to sit outside and the terrace was closed. We were seated by the window - next best thing - even though you're advised the restaurant can't guarantee to comply with your request. The staff are always attentive, polite and thoughtful. Our dessert had a 'Happy Anniversary' message piped in chocolate on both our plates - a nice touch. The food is always tasty and well presented. We had the Sunset set menu which is £30 for 3 courses plus seasonal cocktail and very good value with delicious food. Would definitely recommend a visit - we've been a few times and would go again. The views are amazing even if the weather isn't!

Easy booking through Bookatable. Great offer at Oxo Tower. Great staff and really lovely food. Although we only had the table for 2 hours we were allowed to stay longer.

Great European fusion food in this lovely restaurant with superb views of London - such a picturesque and stunning view of our fantastic London skyline. Food was served promptly by a very friendly waitress and was delicious. I had the Thai spiced fried chicken, pink grapefruit bean shoot salad, lime chilli sauce followed by Confit duck, warm summer puy lentils, salsa verde and the caramelia mousse, banana cake, peanut cream.... faultless food, all prepared to perfection. A superb night out with my friend and I would definitely go back.
