great business lunch

buzzer99 24 February 2012 From London

In the exclusive Mayfair area, Sumosan features a sushi bar and authentic and contemporary Japanese dishes, served in a sumptuous and glamorous setting. The Sumosan JBar serves pre and post-dinner drinks, which can be enjoyed on sleek reclining seats.

Popular with locals and celebrities alike, Sumosan London offers an impressive variety of sushi, in addition to a delicious selection of fish, meat, Teppan yaki and vegetarian dishes including agedashi tofu, grilled squid and yakiniku grill. Boasting some of the finest creations in the city, the Sumosan restaurant sushi bar spares no expense to source quality fish from all over the world.

Sumosan London has an impressive wine list, including both New World as well as classic French wines which complement the Sumosan menu, created by Head chef Bubker Belkhit.

The chic interior at Sumosan Mayfair features separate discreet booths, accompanied downstairs by plush purple design in the sophisticated JBar.

              Comments about this restaurant :

Excellent "new style" sushi (along the lines of the Nobu school) but a bit too expensive to become a frequent choice. A light lunch for two with no alcohol came to [$] or so. Not surprisingly, there were only a handful of other customers. They should lower prices and/or introduce set deals, at least for lunch. If they did, I would certainly visit more often.
