Simply brilliant!

LORD VACHOUX 24 April 2012 From LONDON

Pure dining splendour is showcased with effortless chic at The Balcon. Combining traditional elegance with contemporary flair, this blend of London and Parisian grand brasserie boasts a champagne balcony, charcuterie bar, and restaurant.

Fabulous blends of styles complement one another beautifully at The Balcon London. Dual spiral staircases make up the striking champagne balcony, which offers a select range of bottles that include Dom Perignon. Sweeping arches and crisp whites are set off by dark stained wood and leather furnishings. The charcuterie bar utilises the finest national and continental meats, serving Welsh, French and Scottish cuts of ham, duck and lamb with homemade chutneys.

The Balcon menu is a diverse blend of the finest traditional dishes given premium contemporary additions. Amongst the rotisserie and pan and grill sections, there is a signature Balcon Scottih cottage pie with foie gras, seared organic salmon fillet, and a selection of tarts and tartines.

Also featuring an accomplished wine list and selection of spirits, The Balcon is just 5 minutes’ walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

We enjoyed a relaxing pre theatre meal at 5 30 pm. The service and food were excellent. Staff very attentive and cheerful. The attention to detail most welcome and good value for money.

This is not the Roux Brasserie but the Balcon. Lunch for three post exhibition. Service friendly enough, menu looks interesting. Delivery not so interesting, all rather samey.
