Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Arbutus. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food was excellent, with an imaginative vegetarian main course option.

I'm not a big fan of cheese, thus I don't like the 3rd course. Otherwise the food is ok. Not surprisingly good though as a Michelin starred restaurant. The waiter seems to be pushing u eat as they wanna be sure u will finish in 90 minutes. For 35 quids it's ok, ow it won't worth at all.

We came to the restaurant with my boyfriend, I had booked the Star Deal as a treat for him. We were seated close to the bar and our first waiter was friendly and professional throughout the evening. However, the experience wasn't anything we expected. The restaurant main doors were left fully open and the place was absolutely freezing. Eventually they did close one of the doors after we requested it. There was constant hassle with several other waiters who visited us during our stay and they clearly were not informed we were dining from a set menu and for some reason insisted on taking our cutlery away and bringing it back later. The service was rushed and we weren't the only ones to leave the restaurant with a sour expression. The cocktails however were lovely and so was the starter. The meal itself was 'ok', I enjoyed my fish but my boyfriend wasn't impressed by the fatty lamb. Overpriced and didn't meet our expectations.

The food was very good. However, the restaurant itself is small and all tables are very close to each other.
