The food was delicious (although the fixed menu for the deal was very limited). The staff were not very friendly and certainly didn't seem like they were enjoying their job. They could do with brushing up on Customer Service skills.

Taster menu was excellent, and flowed together nicely. While portions are small, at the end we left feeling satisfied and not desiring anything further. Service was excellent and value for money was excellent. Wine card offered several good values and not just high-end prices

We were told that we had a 2 hour slot but we were still rushed through 4 courses in less than an hour which killed the experience. The food was ok although my salmon and eel starter was very ordinary. Even though we did the £35 deal for 4 courses, this experience was disappointingly far from what you might expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. The table next to us were iterate over the same rushed service.

Service substandard, poor knowledge wine list. The food was fresh but the menu did not cater for our taste. What we did like was not mind blowing. Pushed to fast- had 2 hour table- we were out in 1 and half. Not going back in a hurry I am afraid.

I had booked four of us to have the special deal meal. However, because we were shown the a la carte menu on arrival rather than the limited menus, two of my guests decided to compare the two menus. They enquired whether it would be possible to choose dishes from both menus. After confusion and delay on the part of the restaurant this was eventually agreed. In my view there should have been a positive decision at the start instead of some staff saying yes and others no. Overall the food was well prepared and well presented. But the loos were not very clean. They need to be attended to regularly during busy evenings.

The restaurant was poor. Service was terrible and slow. The staff were banging plates on side boards and were laughing about it.
Staff obstructing stair wells when I went to the bathroom and pushed past me .
The food was bland and lacked flavour

Lovely location just off Greek Street before you get to Soho Square, very welcoming layout that was busy even on a Sunday evening so the atmosphere was great.
The menu was substantial especially if you like game all of which were delicious that we had, one vegetarian menu and one full carnivore meat fest was had. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive making our whole experience a great one, we will definitely go back.

After having been to Arbutus before and seeing this special offer on Bookatable - we were really looking forward to going. Firstly they were not keen to let us have the table for longer that 11/2 hours- they said that was all they allowed for this offer. Secondly the menu is very limited - only 2 choices for 1st and 2nd courses. The lamb which we both chose was very poor - over cooked and very fatty - aubergine puree was cold and there was 1 leaf of braised lettuce and little jus - starter was just OK. the pear and cheese course was tiny and the choc caramel dessert was like eating aerosol whipped cream. I t was very disappointing. To be fair the restaurant was concerned by our comments and tried to make it up to us but I wouldn't go again. Can't believe this is a michelin starred restaurant.

I had dined at Arbutus a couple of times before and the overall experience was always good. This time however, they got it rather wrong. I've made the booking almost 2 months ago and I remember that at that time many timeslots were open, so it couldn't have been sold out at that time. Upon arrival our table wasn't ready we were offered to have a drink at the bar, which we did. When we were brought to the table it turned out that it was the worst table in the entire restaurant: squeezed into an alcove with three tables and against a wall. There was another much nicer table for two not too far away but we were told we couldn't get it as there was a group booking and that table was needed for them. It turned out that the group was booked for two hours later, they arrived when we left. We had booked a special offer menu but got the regular menu and I had to ask for the special menu. Just imagine the embarrassment if someone goes on a date there and that happens. We got the starter prior to the wine and only upon asking we were told that the wine we had ordered wasn't available. The different one we ordered arrived just in time for the main course. In terms of food I have to say it wasn't too bad, but nothing special. The starter, a "tartare" of mackerel, beetroot and roasted almonds was tasty, but not a tartare, rather pieces of the ingredients mixed together. The main, a crispy lamb was very well prepared and came with a lovely sauce but unfortunately the meat had too much of that strong lamb taste that people who don't like lamb that much dislike. (The special menu only had lamb or cod as options.). The third course consisted of two microscopicly small and thin slices of cheese and pears, nothing special, and the dessert was some non-identifiable foam and a dry chocolate something, the low of the menu. Altogether I wasn't impressed, even disappointed compared to previous dinners at Arbutus. I think that in foodie London one cannot afford that variability in quality.

We had booked the special set menu; unfortunately whilst it was good value the choice of 2 options per course were not to our taste so we ate from the a la carte menu. The food was very good- venison cottage pie was gorgeous! The wine list has quite a few good choices (some more lower cost would possibly be good) however the offer of 1 rose wine is too limited. Service was efficient & knowledgeable. I would recommend.
