Really slow service, we were asked to sit in the bar till our table was ready but then nobody came to get us to go to our table, so we were left waiting for 40 minutes until somebody appeared to tell us we could have already gone through, despite being told to wait previously. Once in the restaurant it was practically empty and yet we were sat in a window under a draft and told the other tables were not available to move to, despite there being no more than 12 other diners in there the whole time we were in there. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and all the courses also took an incredibly long time to arrive too and the main was cold when it did, implying it may have been sat waiting to come out for some time. The food was tasty enough but certainly not the standard we were expecting. Also did not like that our debit card was taken away from the table to action payment, this always seems a bit suspicious to us and when we enquired as to why it happened we were told that was just 'how they did it'. My feeling is this place has potential, the food is alright, improving the service and the atmosphere could make a huge difference to the diner experience overall.

We dined early (6pm) and were the only diners in the restaurant to start with. The attention of staff was excellent even when several other tables filled up. We were offered water and because the adults were driving when we refused the glass of wine we were offered soft drinks. The food was to write home about. We were all thoroughly sated when we left.
