Good food, didnt entirely meet up to their star tho, in my opinion. The Staff is attentive, but the system seem to lack some com. Overall good, not michelin good, bit good.

Michelin-starred Tamarind – Queen Street has been a staple of Mayfair fine dining for over 15 years. Winner of numerous awards, as well as praise from Gordon Ramsay, it serves an exciting menu of vibrant Indian cuisine in chic, elegant surroundings.

There are many vegetarian dishes on the Tamarind – Queen Street menu, including tandoor grilled portabello, shiitake and oyster mushrooms with pickled onions in a curry leaf dressing. Gourmet kebabs are a house speciality, and both seafood and lamb are blended with expert combinations of warming spices and cooling yoghurt.

A combination of cooling and lightly spiced desserts are served at Tamarind – Queen Street in Mayfair. The house speciality of grilled pineapple delicately spiced with chaat masala and ginger powder, served with coconut ice cream is a favourite. A superb wine list is available, as well as fragrant cocktails such as rose petal martinis.

Tamarind – Queen Street in Mayfair brings the exciting cuisine of India to the heart of London. Offering chic, elegant décor, it lays only 5 minutes’ walk from Green Park Tube Station.

        Comments about this restaurant :

The set menu was simple but it was cooked to perfection. The starters wern't very inspiring, but the mains were outstanding. The wine was also top drawer. Above all the service and ambience was excellent - relaxing yet professional and above all classy. Michelin star? I don't have enough experience to judge, but Im sure there can't be many better Indian restaurants in London.
