We dined at 6 o'clock, the staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The food was first class and plenty of it. The wine choice was good and delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable meal prior to going to the theatre. Just right.
Less than a stones throw from the Hippodrome.

Plus points - friendly & efficient staff, excellent food
Negative points - restaurant looking rather "tired" and in need of some TLC. Toilets dirty and smelly - didn't want to handle my crispy duck pancakes after toughing the door handle to let myself out. A real put-off

We were a party of six dining before the theatre (booked well in advance). We were squashed next to a family table who's highchair was inbetween two of our diners and they weren't even using it. We felt rushed like on a conveyer belt. Food was ok but had much better Chinese food elsewhere.

We had a set banquet for 7 of us late afternoon after visiting the Birmingham Hippodrome. All of the food was excellent with a good variety and served by pleasant staff.

There were 11 of us but we were allocated a table far too small. We complained and were given a slightly larger table.

Dined relatively early (18:00) prior to show at Birmingham Hippodrome. Efficient unobtrusive service meant we enjoyed an excelent meal and were in good time for the show.
