We visited Imperial City for lunch with a group of colleagues as we wanted something a bit different. Having dined here before we knew that the food would be wonderful and it was. Being just before Christmas we expected it to be busy but the staff were as attentive as they could be considering the place was packed to the rafters. We selected the set Christmas menu which was delicious but as we were on a bit of a tight timescale we had to take the chocolate fondants 'to go' which the staff were very happy for us to do. The only downside was that it was very hot in the restaurant so much so that it was a relief to get outside. Other than that it was a fabulous lunch.

Professional, but 'cold' atmosphere

We dined on Monday at 6pm.
Good things: fast service.
Bad things: food sometimes cold or not hot enough, servants barely speak English, no smiling faces, felt like served by robots; optional, but high service charge on top of the high bill. We wanted to leave a tip anyway, but seeing high charge we resign from this.

We dined at 2030 on a Monday. The place was 20% full and too quiet. Service was adequate but the food was uninspiring and not hot enough.
