Overlooking the world famous Leicester Square in the West End, Ruby Blue is a chic, exciting restaurant, bar and lounge. Set over 2 levels, a wide range of international dishes and bar snacks are served, along with a superb cocktail list.

The Ruby Blue menus feature a fantastic mixture of international cuisine. Eclectic combinations like char-grilled lemon & thyme marinated chicken breast with chorizo, goats’ cheese and peppers feature, as do recognisable classic snacks, like sticky BBQ rib racks. Fajitas and traditional stone-baked pizzas are available, with various vegetarian options and desserts on offer. A pre-theatre menu caters for the restaurant’s location in the heart of the West End.

Ruby Blue Leicester Square transforms into a vibrant London nightspot in the late evening. A huge variety of exciting cocktails, wines, champagnes and beers are served; perfect to enjoy on the outdoor terrace.

VEGETARIANS BEWARE!!

I ordered a falafel burger as it was one of the few vegetarian options.I asked whether the oil used was also used for meat/fish and was told that it was not, after the waitress checked. The burger arrived with a side dish of fries and a garnish of onion rings. I asked whether they were fried in oil also used for meat/fish and the waitress went to check again. This time she said that they were not suitable for veggies as the same oil was used for everything. 'Even the falafel?' I asked and she said yes. I was upset as am a strict veggie and also believe that if a menu has a 'V' next to veggie items, it is misleading and positively disrespectful to cook the food in oil contaminated with meat products. The waitress sent the manager over and my meal was taken off the bill and we were given a free drink and dessert each. I don't want to eat there again as there are plenty of other restaurants which take these issues seriously. I mean, what if i had a nut allergy? Am tempted to contact Westminster Council Trading Standards as they are falsely advertising food to be suitable for vegetarians on their menu when it is NOT suitable.

[...]I dined with a group of friends for my best friend's 25th birthday in the late evening on a Saturday. The food was enjoyable and the restaurant's piano player was entertaining. We also spent some time in the club downstairs which was good fun. The staff were polite but very disorganized; they placed us at the wrong table and gave us the wrong menus, tried to move us to our correct table but it was not ready on time so we had to move back to the first table we'd been placed at. The confusion with the menus continued for a while as they gave us set menus and were reluctant to let us order from the a la carte menu which we had been told we could order from initially. In the end they gave us 5 free jugs of cocktails and a bottle of wine which was a nice gesture and they allowed us to order from the a la carte menu after approximately 30mins of chaos regarding where we would be sitting and which menu we should be ordering from.

The 2/3 course onsite menu shown is an old one ,so we did not have anything like the selection we thought we would have Main course of fish & chips or sausage & mash wasn't quite what we expected

If you are looking for a reasonally priced pre-theatre meal in a friendly,tastefully furnished reastaurant near to the west end theatres you won't go far wrong if you come here. The"Three Amigos"enjoyed 2courses from the special menu and could not fault the food or the service. We would definately book here again.
