We visited Souk Medina on a weekend trip to London. Having visited and loved Morocco recently we were looking for a similarly welcoming, friendly, relaxed and romantic atmosphere. Instead we were greeted by staff who made very little eye contact, rushed us to our seats, and whipped our side plates away before we had finished our meal. We were then obliged to clap along with overly loud music while a belly dancer danced in front of us. While she was very beautiful, this was incongruous with the service and atmosphere. We left unacknowledged with nobody satin goodbye or thanking us for the significant amount of money that we had paid for a lukewarm, very average meal with small portions, and had ice cream back at our hotel. A disappointing experience.

we went last night to eat there, and booked a table at 10pm; the kitchen is closing at 11pm. we came on time and the starters arrived after 45 minutes. during our main courses, they asked us to pay the bill in order for them to close the till. we finished the main course and waited 25 minutes for a waiter to come and clean the table in order to serve our desserts. in fact, while the staff was really busy cleaning up the restaurant, and putting the chairs on the table(even the tables next to ours)we had to ask for our desserts. they brought 3 desserts instead of 2, and (of course) we had to ask for the third one. we were really upset and we have tried to call the manager in order to ask explanation. we asked a waiter to call her but he said she was really busy and that she could come. after 10 minutes the waiter said that she was going to come.... but nothing... therefore we tried to call her, and we ended up shouting in the restaurant, in order to get attention, but there was nothing to do.....they were really busy drinking and chatting.... we are really upset and we never had such a bad experience, even though we all work as waitresses in London. the food was really good, and the ambience really nice... but the service really poor.. and we will never come back....

We arrived at 6:30pm and were immediately shown to a quiet and well presented corner table. The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The menu was varied and our mezze selection was excellent. I'm guessing it may be a bit noisy and crowded late Friday or Saturday but as a pre theatre destination it was excellent.

We had an early dinner at Souk Medina and were seated in the lovely area downstairs. There's loads to choose from on the menu so we were lazy and opted for the three course menu which was very reasonsonable and catered for my vegetarian friend. The food was varied and delicious and there was so much of it we could not finish everything. My only criticism is the lighting could be just a touch brighter.

My partner and I dined here a weekday evening, however, despite prebooking and there being many free tables scattered around the restaurant, we were squeezed inbetween two other parties of diners with barely any space to move, let alone dine! Service was very slow and the cocktails and food were not up to scratch. To top it all, value for money was shocking, we paid top money for frankly, an awful experience. Overall very disappointed, we expected much better!

Dined at 5pm before theatre. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about Souk Medina, our waiter was lovely and the food amazing! We would definitely visit again!

My colleagues and i had dinner on Friday night. The food was good. The service as well but could be improved. A great experience!! We enjoyed the bailey dancing!!!

This was an ok experience for us as a couple. We visited at 16:30 on a Saturday and there were only a few people in there at the time. The setting was great and very romantic, it had the moroccan feel. However once the food arrived it went a bit down hill, they gave us the wrong dish and the meat wasn't hot. We also ordered a Tagine but the top half of the clay pot never appeared? The service was ok but not overly friendly or efficient. If they were busy god help them.
