From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and at ease. For a five star establishment the service was attentive without being stuffy. The food was fabulous as was the environment in which you are served. Will definately be back.

Luxury beyond contempt but cannot ignore the place itself with the whole ambience being sublime and the attentiveness of the staff to ensure your visit is well worth the visit and the food being delicately made and pleasurable to your imagination and palate. Would make a return visit for a long stay but that's depends on winning the lottery!

We have eaten at Rhubarb a number of times and it has always been a great experience. Interesting and beautifully presented food, friendly and helpful staff and, despite the very grand surroundings, it feels relaxed and not too formal. Coffee and petit fours were served in the Leather Room, complete with a roaring log fire. Fabulous. Liam was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and its various owners and was obviously happy to spend some time and share this with us. Another memorable evening - can't wait to go back.

Truly a beautiful experience. Beautiful location and very luxurious hotel - wish we could have had a view of the rooms too. The food was absolutely delicious and we only ate from the cheaper menu. Everything was seasoned perfectly and looked a picture on the plate. The beef I had was probalby one of the tastiest dishes I've ever eaten. The service in the restaurant was first class but could only give four stars for service over all as we were directed to a room for drinks when we arrived, given menus, but no one came back. I asked a girl on two occasions for attention but was just told sorry. After sitting for around 20 minutes some one came but we declined drinks and went into the restaurant. This however did not spoil our experience as the room was so opulant and interesting to look at. But at the end of the day it was about the food and that was 5 stars all the way. We will definatley be back.

First time at Rhubard came to my attention through an email from booking.com. It was a lovely evening meal, beautiful surroundings elegant but comfy. Will be back and next time it will be for afternoon tea with friends.
