Sitting on the top deck for drinks before dinner was very good.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is not that good, but the young staff were very friendly.
I would just go for drinks next time.

A London dining landmark for over 30 years, R.S. Hispaniola restaurant ship gives diners classic elegance on the River Thames. Moored at Victoria Embankment, stunning river views are offered on the sun terraces and upper deck bar.

Effortlessly romantic, the R.S. Hispaniola restaurant sits just across from the London Eye, and benefits from the sparkle of its lights on the water. Whilst it was very quiet being a Monday lunchtime, it was a comfortable experience. The staff were very polite, attentive and obliging even providing an appetiser which was not actually on the menu that day but which had been on the menu I reviewed (and a particular favourite of my husband's). The level of music was not intrusive. The food was cooked beautifully, hot when it needed to be, well presented and altogether a pleasant experience. Personally I would have like a fresh vegetable to go with my steak and chips.

The weather of course makes all the difference , but the 4th of June was beautiful. The position of the ship is nearly directly opposite the London Eye. The view is brilliant. The staff were attentive and the food was good. we would certainly dine there again.we were on the Star menue three courses and a glass of champagne for £23 each, which we thought reasonable.

This is a beautiful location to eat. My wife and I had lunch which was excellent. Service on the day was slow. I have already raised the question of disabled access with the Hispaniola, the access ramp to the boat is very steep at low tide and it was a very difficult access for me. We will dine at this fine restaurant again but only at high tide!

The dining room is disappointing as it's quite shabby, but the atmospheres was very pleasant with a pianist playing throughout the evening. The food an service was average, but the views are really good. Overall an enjoyable and different experience.
