We booked this lunch for 1.30pm and were greeted on arrival and shown to our window table. We were surprised that we were the only customers in the restaurant and only one other table was used during our meal. The service was first class as were the tables and seating. When I booked this meal I was surprised at the selection and we were not disappointed. I was aware from other reviews that the portions were small but this is to be expected from this standard of cuisine, however the flavours of the food were fantastic and we are already planning to go back again. We have had several of these lunches in other restaurants and without hesitation I would state that this was the best.

The food and service were first class. Just a shame that the restaurant (and hotel in general) are a bit tired. We went for lunch, and there were not many people there, which made a lack of atmosphere though the waitresses told us it was much busier in the evenings. However, this was compensated by the excellent food and service.

We chose this deal as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary weekend in London. The restaurant is lovely - we were surprised by some of the other comments we'd read. We booked a special 3 course deal with glass of champagne for £30 and were delighted to discover we could order anything from the A La Carte menu. The food is delicious - so much choice it was hard to choose! We chose a bottle of wine to go with our dinner which was tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly, attentive and thoughtful. A nice touch was the chef came out to chat to diners at the end of the evening.

This was the best restaurant we have visited from Bookatable. Lovely setting and the food was unbelievable. Very good staff and the whole experience was wonderful. We did not sample the drinks as they were a bit expensive but the champs to start the evening was great.

I had invited two guests for lunch and we were all absolutely delighted with the whole ` Petrichor at the Cavendish' experience. The service was excellent, the waiters attentive and the food really delicious with hot plates as well as hot food. The restaurant music was very subtle and added to the ambience.
I shall certainly recommend the restaurant to my friends,
The only drawback was that our table faced the renovations to the exterior of Fortnum and Mason, not a pretty sight1

Bought the 3 courses with glass of champagne lunch option for two and was glad I did. Beyond excellent value for money - simply an absolute steal.

Fair enough the restaurant was far from busy when we got there but the experience was a peaceful joy nonetheless.

For starters I had scallops with the pork, my wife had duck benedict. For mains we had the cod with crab croquet and brocolli puree, and saute calves liver with mash. For dessert 2 x baked alaskas.

The food is truly worthy of every Rosette accolade with the perfect balance between high quality taste/presentation and portion size.

You will not leave here feeling bloated nor hungry. Add in a glass each of Lanson chmapagne to commence or round of a wonderful experience.

Am planning to come back already

Five of us dined on Wednesday evening. The promotion is for three courses from the a la carte menu which is unusual for a Bookatable promotion (other restaurants we have been to on a promotion tend to offer a special menu with limited choices). It was a fabulous menu. Service and food were excellent. We will definitely go again.

Absolutely brilliant. It was faultless
Definitely one to go back too. Only gripe is drinks are extortionate but that is expected for a London establishment.
