We arrived at 13.45 and were surprised at the noise levels from diners and music, but did not say anything. We were taken to a table in a quieter part of the restaurant and proceeded with our meal. After 30 - 45 minutes the noise from both diners and music had abated significantly. We suspect we had arrived as the early diners were finishing their meal and the music levels were matching the general noise.
We thought the service we received and our meal from the set menu were excellent. We each had different choices for all three courses and all six choices were tasty and good value too. The courses were provided at a relaxed pace in keeping with the (later) environment and could not be faulted. We will return but book a later (maybe 14.30) meal time.
Thank you,

We had booked to eat off the Winter Dining Menu and were looking forward to the choices listed but unfortunately the menu offered was not the same and was a little disappointing. The main courses were very good but the chicken terrine starter was a bit bland (had been looking forward to having duck) and whilst the almond tart was pleasant enough the Brownie would have been so much better. Why advertise a set menu and then alter it. Service was generally good although did have to remind the waiter we had ordered a glass of wine when we were being served the main courses.

We always enjoy the food and ambience. Yesterday our experience was made even more pleasurable by the most charming waiter, Roberto. Please pass on our thanks.

Lovely food, beautifully presented by great staff. More vegetarian choices would have been good. Sadly nearly spoilt by booking centre who in spite of being contacted 3 times for confirmation of reservation failed to book us in (6 guests) brilliant waiters & manager saved the day but I was highly embarrased by the situation.

Lovely food. Great service and buzzing atmosphere. Our only criticism is the surcharge applied to the £22 fixed menu. You expect to pay a surcharge on expensive food such as steak, scollops, lobster etc but not on a fish cake starter or cheese and biscuits dessert. We both found this excessive.

We were kindly offered an aperitif as an apologetic gesture after passing on the above comments to the manager via our waitress, who was lovely!
