Oh. My. Goodness. This little gem is not to be missed! The service was stellar, the food was spectacular (the meat tray was filled with a weird yet amazing selection of everything from pate to pickles), and the place is just buzzing with a good vibe.

Great deal! Staff were very attentive and each course arrived promptly - portions were good sized (I had calamari - moules - waffle). The waffle was a little wanting but the first two courses were excellent :)

I arrived early but was welcomed at the small bar area upon arrival. The man at the bar led me to the restaurant where I was seated immediately. The restaurant was quiet with only me and a few other people to begin with but I was soon joined by a larger, noisy group that were seated on the other side of the restaurant. There was excellent wi-fi and a soundtrack that consisted of great alternative rock songs I haven't heard for ages. The dining area also looked cool.

A server approached me and was aware of my special requests of the set menu, the soft drink and availability of items on the menu. The only thing that wasn't available was the cherry sauce with the waffle. When another server brought my drink to the table she didn't seem to understand me when she took my order or when I gave a simple request and statement before and after my main was served much to my frustration. If staff can't understand me why should they even work here? Hopefully this could change if the NAS gets involved... She was quite cold about me having my iPad mini on the table that I used to write this review and watch a video in between courses and also insisted I give her five minutes to order my dessert, which meant being served took even longer. I also got the impression staff were talking amongst themselves in between courses and I had no clue what they said.

My croquettes arrived quickly. They were crispy with a slight smell of beer. My main dish took a bit longer. The chicken was cooked to my liking with a sticky barbecue beer glaze and the chips were crispy with skins on but a bit salty. The crepe itself was cold due to the chocolate ice cream that was served with it but the ice cream and the white chocolate sauce were gorgeous. The bill arrival and the collection of payment were prompt.

Overall very good cheap food and decent ambience until the larger group arrived but slightly slow service during my main and dessert and a couple of fairly inattentive staff members. 4/5.
