Very charming place! The staff were incredibly helpful and even made a surprise piece of cake, that wasn't on the menu for my boyfriend's borthday, which went down a treat!

Booked for Mother's Day, through Bookatable, so didnt even know what the place was like, just liked the look of the menu. I had the cod with lentils and cherizo, highly recommended. Oh lets face it you cant go wrong with the menu. Just got a bit sticky with the bill when the 5th person in our party arrived late, then it went a bit pear-shaped, but all resolved by helpful manager.

The quality of the food was very good. The goats cheese and three beetroot starter eexcellent but was so small it could have been eaten in two mouthfuls.....this was the theme......,tasty, but small portions therefore in my opinion not value for money.
We was not rushing ....so not a worry ....but service was slow.

An enjoyable evening, as usual at Davy's, but not quite the easeful efficiency we have become used to. Was this because it was a bright & sunny Friday evening with many diners & drinkers? We usually meet here on a Wednesday evening when it is a little less frenetic.

The staff were as cheerful as ever, but the fish was perhaps a little overdone & the squid starter was tough & chewy, usually a sign of over- cooking. However, when this last complaint was brought to the staff's attention it was immediately withdrawn from the bill - a prompt, decisive & palliative response that restored my faithless in this excellent dining venue. There was then an inaccuracy with our bill that was quickly resolved, but it seemed that Davy's was just a bit off its game on this occasion.

I come in from Kent every couple of months to meet with friends from London & eat at Davy's & look forward to normal service being resumed on our next visit.

Ever reliable venue just out of the tourist heart of Greenwich this historic building provides a first class dining experience for the price. Food is always spot on and the wine list is much better than the average and well priced, not unexpected given that Davy's is an important wine retailer. Some of their best bottles appear in the wines of the month section. Outside eating and burger or fish and chips at good prices are available for quick restauration! Staff are always extremely pleasant. Thoroughly recommended.

This a restaurant we have come back to time & again over perhaps 30 years. Any friends we have taken are delighted we have introduces them to it. The ambiance is special; the food always good & the service gets that balance of being attentive without overdoing it. Of course, there's a great choice of wines!

Davy's has become the regular spot where I meet up with a couple of friends every couple of months in the evening & it is ideal. The menu is limited enough, without being restrictive, to give confidence that the ingredients are fresh. The food is completely reliable in terms of quality, as is the wine list, which is not excessively 'marked-up.'

The service is always prompt & attentive &, of course, knowledgable about their wines. The ambience has something of restrained elegance about it, so that being cheerful or subdued can be experienced without one feeling that one is 'rocking the boat.'

Also dropped into the Wine Shop for some advice & was not disappointed.

We were treated very unprofessionally by the waitress who would reply in one word answers and even threw our dessert menus onto our table instead of handing them out. Had to remind her about a Pimms and a glass of lemonade we ordered 30 minutes afterwards which the response was "Oh yes. But if I use the lemonade for your Pimms, then there is no lemonade for anyone else". Unreal?
Never going there again and do NOT recommend it.

We regularly dine here for the fabulous food and the lovely wine. We have the 3 course deal[$]. I had mushroom bruchetta, ballantine chicken stuffed with tomatoes and then the best ever homemade bakewell tart with ice cream. My friend had the chicken pate, mushroom ravioli and a cheese board. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and its a pleasant place to wait if you arrive first. Would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
