When we entered the restaurant a man greeted us with the question table for two? I told him we had a table booked at whch point he checked and realised I'd specified a nice table as it was for our wedding annniversary. Ah yes he said we have you a nice table then said it's the one at the bottom there and pointed the length of the restaurant. We were left to wander down ourselves & when after a few minutes of hovering not knowing which table he meant someone finally appeared to show us. The restaurant was not busy he could have walked us down and seated us himself. In fairness the young lady who served us after that was pleasant. The food was average nothing to rave about at all. The restaurant itself is very bright and I wouldn't choose to eat there again, it totally lacked atmosphere. I was disappointed. I expected wow factor & didn't get it. Fortunately I was in good company! We went on a Friday evening at 8.30.

sunday lunch turned out to be disappointing. The antipasta meats seemed to have been made-up before ordering and consequently were dry/hard. The seafood pasta maincourse could have been much better if coldwater prawns had been used instead of warmwater,

Love the setting and the shop where we always buy something for home.Excellent staff food is great if a little filling when your eyes are too big for your belly.Only slight downside is it can be a little cool due to its proximity to a couple of entrances and the great hall being so large.Must try the 3 pasta dishes option which gives you a chance to experience 3 different dishes in one meal.

we went after the cinema at 8.15 on a friday night. We ate a la carte as we had a 20% off voucher and we had 2 courses one of which was the share 3 dishes of pasta which was great when we couldn't make up our minds. The staff were pleasant and attentive. The only thing that was negative was the seating was ripped which I find detracts from the elegant dining experience!!

When we booked we explained that it was for a girls 16th birthday meal with her family. We stated that we would be grateful for some form of decoration e.g. balloons. However when we arrived, the staff recognized us as the birthday group but had done nothing for us. I understand that they may not provide balloons but they did not even give us a nice table or a booth. Then the food arrived.. 2 members of our party said their pasta and meatballs had no flavour, 1 member was missing some of the fish that should have been in hers and mine was cold and the bowl was half empty. The service was poor, the waitress was young and appeared very flustered even though it wasn't that busy. Overall, this was a terrible evening and an awful birthday meal for a 16 year old. We will not be returning and I would not recommend it to anyone.
