Spent Valentines evening at Smollenskys. Slow service to start - it took 10 minutes to get the attention of a waiter. But then they were very attentive. The food was good and the atmosphere was lively as the restaurant was very busy (normally, there are only 6 or 7 tables taken on a Saturday evening)

We absolutely loved it. Our 6.30pm table was ready and in fact they were able to accommodate an extra person there and then-always handy on such a beautiful evening. We were seated out on the terrace-delightful. The menu cated for all palletes and we all felt it was very good value for money which included starters, main and one round of drinks, not all alcoholic. The service was great as the waiter was happy to answer questions about the menu and allowed us to order in our time. The food was nicely presented and arrived in good time. Any complaints........absolutely none.

Mid evening on a Friday night - great service, waiting staff attentive but not in your face. Food good. Atmosphere lively but we were there as a couple and that fitted too. Would go back happily if in the area.

Our waitress has no knowledge of wine. She said she does not like wine therefore can't recommend a good wine but did not bother to call someone who knows. Also, pls don't serve calamari ever. So rubbery.

A good restaurant with an excellent vantage point at the heart of Canary Wharf. Brilliant terrace. Food of good quality but the service a little slow for lunch (though we did get an apologiy and a free beer!)
