Just avoid the very first table next to the entrance door. Everything is always perfect. I would like the chef to bring back the lobster to the menu, especially the lobster salad.

Oli 21 February 2011 From London

Delivering an innovative twist on the coastal cuisine of south-west India, Trishna London is the sister restaurant of Trishna in Mumbai which is widely acknowledged as one of the best seafood restaurants in the world.

The philosophy behind Trishna is to deliver simple food with an authentic flavour of the Indian coastline in striking yet informal surroundings. The clean and minimalist feel of the restaurant is offset by tumbled marble, smoked oak, brickwork and glass. A casual, informal and sociable dining atmosphere prevails with great buzz and energy.

Meanwhile, the menu showcases the freshest British seafood, meat and vegetables, and has a combination of the Mumbai restaurant's signature dishes as well as head chef Karam Sethi's fresh take on the culinary pleasures of the Indian coast.

              Comments about this restaurant :

I decided to dine early evening (approximately 18:30)due to a busy schedule and by myself with the company of the food.

Expecting the restaurant to be empty, it started filling up quickly within the hour. Most likely a testament to their popularity. Not to write an essay, I can some the food up as almost nouvelle Indian cuisine that is well portioned with a modern take on familiar Indian dishes like the seafood biryani (which was well flavoured and presented with finesse).

I don't normally eat out in Indian restaurants so this was a good find and will definately be back soon.

We booked for a value deal [$] for 2 course, only to find out it's available before 630pm. So had to out from the regular menu. Food is good but service is not much to tell.
