For afternoon tea at The Park Room & Library I would definitely would rate it higher than most afternoon teas in London, even at the likes of Claridges. For the price, service, ambiance it was well worth every Pound. We took my mum for American Mum's Day since she was visiting from America, and believe that she enjoyed the ambiance, not to mention the spread of food! Starting with champagne, which came immediately after we had put our tea order in, two beautiful towers were presented to our table starting with sandiwches on the bottom layer and working up to tiny desserts. The scones, clotted cream and jam selection came as a separate tray. The staff were so attentive and were always asking if we wanted tea or champagne refills. Also, had refills on sandwiches. We had so much food that we even had to get a carry box to take home the extras. Needless to say, there was no reason to eat dinner later that evening. Also, to disguise the chatter in the room, there was a lovely pianist who even humoured my father and took a request to play a favourite song of his.

Don't overlook this destination for afternoon tea just because it is a Marriott property. I highly recommend this venue!

We dined at 5.30 pm, which was a great time to eat afternoon tea. The food was excellent and sandwiches were refilled as much as we wanted. The cakes were also very tasty and the scones were baked fresh. The service was superb and the staff were very cooperative. We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and this is our second time at the Grosvenor House Hotel

I Love old Britain and this is one of those places' you have to try.
Lovely 'fizz' tea, coffee and afternoon tea was fabulous.
A must for all.
Staff were outstanding and could not do enough for me in arranging this special day, and the soft cuddly 'dog - Grover' was a hit.
