We both loved the starter of smoked salmon and we both loved our deserts (chocolate and rhubarb).. beef was overdone and green noodles underseasoned. Risotto bit too cheesy.

Very overpriced
More style over substance unfortunately
Very loud business lunch groups ruin the experience for ordinary diners and stand around in front of other tables continuining to chat after they have finished their own meal and left their table
Waitors won't ask them to chat outside the restaurant
We had to ask a group standing right by our table ourselves to continue chatting outside
We had waited about 10 mins but they wouldn't go until we asked them
Waitors said they don't ask guests to leave
These guests had left the table
The table was being cheared and the business guests were hanging around by our table chatting very loudly
Ruining our lunch
We couldn't hear the pianist let alone see him
We couldn't have our own conversation
Small cup of coffee £6
Not even filter decaf

As usual no or lacking maitre D'. Ridiculous refusal to turn down the music which was too loud. Our waiter was useless and we had to attract a different one (the one from Mauritius was very good). The food was very good with the exception of the rhubarb dish which as very poor.

The food was exquisite. My favourite was the caramelised Piccadau cheese with smoked duck, black walnut & castelfranco salad starter.

The dining room was opulent, but not ostentatious and was a very relaxing atmosphere whilst we dined.

The cocktails, although pricey, were beautifully made and balanced and the staff were unobtrusive, yet always on hand

Overall, I would utterly recommend this place to eat! Just have their Star Deal offer to save money!!
