Dined at 6.30 on a Saturday night. There were problems with the kitchen, meaning that the menu was limited but this cannot be helped. The sevice was a bit slow and we were given a credit for a dessert. We visited this restaurant at the same time last year but the experience was not as good this year. A little disappointed.

We ate around 20:30 and the restaurant was not full, the staff were very pleasant but they were either there all the time or they would not be present it is hard to get right but at times there were no staff in the dining area at all.

The food was very good and we didnt have to wait for very long periods between ordering and reciving the starter, the starter to the main the timing was quite good in that respect.

The only real issue i had, was that when the bill arrived i checked it for the meals we had but didnt really take note of individual prices, i just looked at the bottom and assumed that was the amount but on a second glance this was not correct, what they had done was totalled the food and then added an optoinal 10% tip, then totalled this with the food bill and placed that at the bottom, i was about to pay the amount at the bottom and add my own 10% tip, had i done this they would have had about a 22% SO BEWARE AND CHECK THE BILL CAREFULLY. i think this is a bit cheeky

The food was delicious but the waiter left us alone upstairs to work downstairs. We eventually took ourselves downstairs to ask for our bill. We decided not to leave a tip.

My food was quite cold, but I didn't send it back as my companion seemed O.K. with his.

The side salad was very small

It was quite hard to attract the waitress's attention

The ladies toilets were not signposted.

I think the food was overpriced

Early evening on a 'summer' night when it was raining stair rods. Friendly and prompt service. Not over powering but there when wanted.
