Overlooking the Lowry, Café Rouge Salford Quays serves good value French cuisine in a prime Manchester location. With a terrace al fresco dining area, Café Rouge’s cosy interior complete with red banquettes has an authentic French atmosphere.

As part of the nationwide chain of Café Rouge restaurants, this branch offers their range of classic French dishes such as confit duck, beef bourguignon, steak frites and mussels. Smaller dishes are also on offer for a lighter bite. Particularly good value for money are the set menus for lunch and dinner (available most days). To accompany the food there is also a good range of French wines, many from less well known producers.

In true French style, breakfast is also an important meal at Café Rouge. With croissants, pain au chocolat, omelettes and croques, as well as hot chocolate, tea and all types of coffees, it makes a great start to the day.

A good choice for pre or post-theatre dining, Café Rouge Salford Quays offers affordable French cuisine in relaxed surroundings.

Dined at 6pm on Sunday, Arrived & shown to a table. Waitress lacked a smile and took our order. The food was lacking taste, sausage over cooked, steaks ordered Rare but arrived nearly well done. Overall experience - Even with 2-for-1 vouchers the meal was overpriced. Had better at a wetherspoons!! Complained and all i got was a shrug of shoulders and a mumble of sorry.

Had lunch at 12.30am with my wife the food fine prompt service and waitress Magna polite cheerful and attentive if all your staff maintain her standards your clients will be very content with Cafe Rouge at Salford quays

always great for an intimate evening meal. the change in menu is excellent especialy the small starters however dissapointed that the oven baked camabert has been dropped from the menu.

Ate at 5 ish mid week. Very clean and service spot on. Could image the staff are skilled enough to make all diners feel welcome from individuals to kids groups. Food good but avoid the french fries, overcooked and hard. Value for money, 7/10
