The afternoon tea at the capital was a great experience! It is a lovely place with amazing food and drinks. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the people very nice. It's really worth the price and we would definitely come again!

Very pleasant and intimate room for afternoon tea, I was slightly disappointed that my dairy intolerance was not more imaginatively catered for with the cake and scone selection, it looked as if someone had just nipped to the supermarket rather than putting in any effort ??But my mothers cake selection looked wonderful.

The Room was very pretty, the tea was good. The staff were friendly enough- but there was long waits between the sandwiches and the pastry and we had to wave them over each time we wanted something. The food was pretty average (sandwiches, cakes, scone0 and the macaroon was not very nice at all- crunchy and not chewy and lovely as it should have been it was also stuck to the plate with plain cream cheese for some odd reason. It was not as as nice as some of the other Afternoon Teas I have had, but it was good, low price for the area of London it is located in.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed! We took tea in a beautifully, traditionally decorated, intimate room with a large window overlooking Basil Street. The three course tea included a variety of savory sandwiches, four delicious sweets, plus scrumptious scones, complete with clotted cream and strawberry jam! The young girl serving us was gracious and darling, refilling our tea pots and sharing in our conversations. We could have stayed and talked to her all day! Before leaving, Guillaume, kindly took us on a tour of the hotel. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea, exceeding our expectations!
