Great views of Trafalgar Square and Westminster. Menu good and seasonal - asparagus excellent!

We came for lunch and although we had booked for 12:30 they had already run out of the soup of the day! The lamb steaks had a huge bone in the centre and were very difficult to cut with less than sharp knives, generally not quite up to the standard expected.

A fantastic lunch.  Great views, even in the rain.  The food was delicious and the service (out waitress was [@]) went above and beyond.  My aunt had booked and mentioned it was my birthday and I'm a vegetarian.  So when I ordered the soup the waitress confirmed it was veggie without my asking and at the end of the meal completely unexpectedly they brought a plate with 4 brandy & coconut balls and "Happy Birthday" written on the plate in chocolate.   Would definitely recommend and that's without even mentioning their delicious Bellini...

Lunchtime on a Bank Holiday Monday.
Food was fine, nothing great nothing terrible.
But it is a most convenient location with great views from the restaurant.

I have visited this restaurant several times and the food has been mostly very enjoyable. I recently ordered the plaice at lunchtime and found it mushy and unpleasant. I was offered a free desert which I took and which was delicious but would have preferred the option of having a reduction on the bill instead.

Dined at lunch time - fabulous views great atmosphere with a fairly mature and professional crowd. Negatives: waitress completely misunderstood my dessert order - received a crumble rather than creme brulee however very quickly corrected with profuse apologies by management. Ordered chips as a side, small bowl of around 5 chips arrived. The real edge is the breathtaking views of London rather than the food which really impressed my American guest. I recommend it and will be back.

Our booking was for a couple 6pm Saturday evening and the restaurant was 'buzzing' with diners and people drinking cocktails at the bar. Our coats were taken and we were shown straight to a table by the window as requested. Service was quick, attentive, explantory and friendly. The menu wasn't a huge choice but our meals arrived exactly as described and portions were adequate. We had 3 courses and our main stew and curry choices were excellent, The 3 courses, 2 cocktails, 2 wines and bottled water, with service included totalled [$].

Too little time allowed in booking slot: 90 mins.
Tables too close - too many popular exhibitions around? Loud.
Wine by the glass expensive.
Good range of choice on set menus.
