On the site of the historic former Clock Tower Pub, Zizzi Didsbury pairs its vibrant Italian cuisine with a mixture of contemporary and traditional décor. There is room for 100 diners inside, with 60 additional seats in the spacious outdoor section.

Made with fresh, seasonal produce, the delicious classics on the Zizzi menu include pastas, freshly made pizzas, salads and risottos. Tasty dishes include the spicy chicken pasta with red pesto and spring onions, the Zizzi sirloin steak with Tuscan potatoes or the porcini mushroom pizza. There is a popular well priced children’s menu and plenty of specials or vegetarian favourites.

The varied wine list at Zizzi includes a number of Italian bottles, along with champagne, Italian beer and prosecco. The sumptuous dessert list features indulgences like amaretti cheesecake, lemon tart or warm cherry tart.

Zizzi Didsbury allows easy access to the surrounding Manchester area, with Burnage Rail Station a 4-minute drive away.

Great value with voucher code

We booked to celebrate Valentine's day a couple of days early and we found it was nice and quiet; the service was good and the food great. The voucher code giving us a good deal on a 3 course meal was icing on the cake!

We arrived at 7pm on a Friday night in December. We opted for the set 3 course meal for [$] & it was great value for money. I was unsure what to expect from the food as I am not a huge fan of big chains but the food was really good, very tasty. Would definitely recommend it for groups of friends or a relaxed dinner out

We enjoyed a very pleasant evening, and would use Zizzis again, this is the 3rd one we have been to, ie Spinningfields, Chester and Manchester Triangle all are good value for money and offer a good service. We dined at 730pm and the atmosphere was good. No adverse comments at all, waiter very good without being overbearing.

Bit disappointing

The restaurant was pleasant inside although not special. The service from the waitress was excellent - although we suddenly lost her about half way thorugh the meal to be replaced by - I don't know - a chap looking more like a chef - very odd.

The food was mixed - my wife and daughter liked their dishes, one of my sons enjoyed his calamari, main course and desert. I thought the garlic bread was disappointing - bit tasteless. One of my sons and I found our main course very lacking in flavour. I had some pistachio ice cream as part of my desert - it did not taste like pistachio (suggest they go to Sorrento where we were last summer - there you can taste real pistachio ice cream!!). So overall - disappointing - would not be inclined to go again.

We had lunch here on Sunday
The waitress Jess was very attentive and responded to the request made by my sister to turn the music down a little.(My sister and mother both have hearing problems)
We each ordered different items from the main course menu: my mother a pizza, my sister lamb shank and my order was sea bass. As a starter we shared the bread board which was very tasty with ciabbatta, olive bread served with balsamic vinegar. We were all happy with our main courses.A nice added touch was that Jess brought us a jug of iced water. Some restaurants are reluctant to do this but this was unprompted and very welcome
