Haven't been there for years as it wasn't nice, but loved it this time. Food was lovely, service good and atmosphere great.

More about The Orange Tree

Nestled close to Totteridge Green, The Orange Tree is a refurbished gastro pub with a spacious car park, serving modern British dishes as well as traditional Sunday roasts. Inside, wooden furniture, fireplaces & a sleek bar give the pub a contemporary yet homey feel.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Orange Tree menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit. A kids’ menu and Sunday roasts also feature, and desserts include rich vanilla and chocolate gelato with home-baked cookies.

The result of a treasured partnership with Rothschild wine merchants, the cellar showcases many fine wines, while token real ales and premium spirits are found at The Orange Tree bar. Nostalgic British nibbles and sharing platters bursting with international flavours offer more laidback dining.

Pretty location easily accessible. Food quality was good with ample portion sizes and adequate staff on when we visited Sunday lunchtime with place full (pre-booking recommended. Not keen personally on ambience as too many covers in close proximity and loses its pub heritage.

We had the cod and chips. It was awfully greasy and oily. The oil tasted very cheap. The fish and the chips were fried in the same oil, the chips were black not cooked through at all. I've eaten here many times before and was really nice. So last night was quite disappointing.boo

Excellent food but service a bit slow. Such a busy time of year perhaps they needed more experienced staff

Very good meal. Not cheap. Good service and comfortable ambience. Hard chairs (wooden) could do with cushions.
