We booked a table for 7.30, on arriving the staff were pleasant but a little flustered. We were shown to our table, we found the tables were very close together and this is one of the main faults we found. We ordered our food and wine. The wine came and we were poured a glass, the bottle was then placed in a cooler a little away from our table. Firstly, I was given a starter that I didn't order, this was due to the lack of organisation of the staff, they were all pleasant and seemed to be trying to do their best, but I felt some were doing too much, as in the case of our main waiter, and some had too little to do as in the case of the Head of House. Then when we were served our main course of Chateaubriand which is served at table, the waiter had very little room in which to serve it. During this time people were shown to the tables either side of us and were obviously uncomfortable sliding past our table to get to their seats. All conversation can be overheard. As the staff were so busy we had to get up to get our wine and pour it ourselves. staff were slow to clear tables between courses and again I think this was due to poor organisation rather than poor staff. However the food was excellent and I would go back again, but maybe not on a weekend evening.

We booked a table for 3 at 7.30pm on a busy Friday night, and despite one or our party being delayed by 45 minutes there was no issue - we eventually left well after 11pm, not because there was any delay in the food, but enjoying ourselves so much. Their signature dish - baked Vacherin (in season) was absolutely delicious. Chateubriand for two - very generous, lovely bearnaise sauce, green beans and fries included, followed by Tarte Tatin that was wonderful

Lunch. Welcomed at start but staff, although polite, did seem keen to finish lunch time service and were clearing up etc.
Wine good, but expensive.
Food disappointing - fish the most enjoyed.

We went for dinner - pleasantly busy at 7pm - service very friendly - the specilaity of baked Vacherin cheese is worth trying once - fantastic unique dish - we had fantastic wine - although this did push the price up

Over charged for the food we had ordered,we did go back the next day and after a wait we were refunded £30 which we still did not feel was correct, but after such a wait for the matter to be sorted out accepted the refund, I have to say we were treated with the upmost respect and the issue was dealt with in a polite and courteous manner
