The meal was great, service was great, quick. Friendly. It was very busy and very noisy at 7.00pm in the evening, I was very glad that I booked for table of 2.
My only thoughts were that the lighting was so bright at the back of the restaurant, we needed to wear shades! No good for a couple on a first date!!

Saturday 14/01/12 7.45pm. Allocated central table at kitchen / bar end of restaurant. Very disruptive area due to kitchen noise & staff back & forth continuously. Unable to have conversation with guests and waited until we could be moved to table closer to the front of the restaurant, which was a lot better (although acoustics are not good - nothing to absorb the noise and noisier than most restaurants we have used).
Starter: Rosemary & Sea Salt Bread with Olive Tapenade. Very nice, but the tapenade portion was a bit mean.
Mains: 1. Spinach Ravioli; 2. Pizza with Funghi & Pancetta; 3. Pizza Calzone Con Carne Piccante; 4. Spaghetti Carbonara. 1 to 3 were fine, but spaghetti carbonara sauce was unlike any spaghetti carbonara anywhere else (no cream in the sauce - tasted more like chicken stock !) Manager insisted on deducting cost of spaghetti carbonara, despite me offering to pay the bill in full - so fair enough.
Not for us - too noisy; a bit too cramped and equal or better quality food available at other italian chain restaurants, that have a nicer ambiance.
