More about The Green Man - Longfield

Constructed in the 17th century, The Green Man – Longfield was previously a picturesque farmhouse. The culinary heritage remains through the well-loved British pub menu, and its rustic roots are still visible through the pretty country surroundings and vintage eclectic furnishings. The Green Man also boasts eye-catching white walls and a spacious garden for al fresco dining.

Hearty Sunday roasts and trusty British dishes head The Green Man menu, and a range just for kids offers mini versions of pub favourites. Signature Vintage pies designed by celebrity chef James Martin offer fillings like beef & merlot with buttered peas, while The Green Man ‘Vintage classics’ menu includes lemon & garlic-roasted chicken with seasoned chips.

Paying homage to the Great British pub, the Vintage Inn bar stock includes cask-conditioned beers, real ales and a meticulously compiled wine list. Thirst-quenching offerings include seasonal non-alcoholic cocktails and freshly-pressed juices, and rich coffee is brewed freshly throughout the day.

At just a 2-minute drive from Longfield Train Station or 14 minutes from Dartford, The Green Man enjoys the country while remaining close to the town.

Excellent service, the staff very helpful as we had a disabled guest with us. Good lunchtime menu. Battered mushrooms disappointing but the soup was excellent. Sausage and mash very good and the spampi nicely presented. Both excellent. I would recommend the chicken burger although they need to name it something else....its that good!!

this is the 3rd / 4th time we have dined at the Green Man. with friends, and not the best, must have been a bad day, the food is usually good for "Pub Food" . what you get is usually above what you would expect from a chain group diner.
yesterday the food was still of a good quality, but the service was really off, from start to end.....................will we go back again..................perhaps

My granddaughter has coeliac disease so it is very important that there is a gluten free menu suitable for her with a good choice of dishes. We have now eaten here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. The children's menu was the same each time but the choice is good and the quality is excellent. My grandson is nearly 2yrs and had prawn cocktail as a starter - we've never seen this on a children's menu before and he loved it!

The service was friendly and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was my daughter-in-law's birthday and she was given a complimentary drink which was lovely.

We were all very impressed and will definitely be back.
