As always a wonderful dining experience and perfect food beautifully presented.
We began with a cocktail and relaxed outside with our complimentary nibbles which consisted of cheese straws, beetroot hummus and flavoured popcorn. We perused the menus and our order was duly taken. We were then left to relax until our table was ready and we were taken through to the newly refurbished dining area. The decor is now painted in farrow and ball colours and panelling has been added, very nice indeed. Despite the main restaurant being nearly full aswell as the bar area the service was relaxed and unhurried. Our mains came very swiftly after we were seated and the wine and water were brought straightaway.
I had the pork belly and tenderloin with mash and cabbage which was very tasty and quite substantial.
My daughter had the hake with gnocchi, chard broccoli and a lobster bisque sauce, again a good portion beautifully cooked.
The staff were very friendly and proficient and overall a lovely evening.

As always the food was excellent. A chance to relax in the comfortable bar area before being seated
Friendly efficient staff and nice atmosphere
Complimentary bread and nibbles which was a nice touch whilst we enjoyed the cocktails.
Have eaten here several times and it never fails to deliver. Definitely the best restaurant for miles.

Service was very professional and efficient. This was very pleasing because on many previous visits it has been their failing.

Food was exquisite and offered something different from other restaurants I've been too locally. Portions a bit on the small side with the exception of the deserts. Fish was cooked to perfection however my husband did not enjoy his lamb cutlets (found them a bit chewy). Overall service was good however an acknowledgement when we arrived would have been nice while the man finished up his telephone call and booking on the computer.

Thoroughly enjoyable experience when entertaining friends for lunch recently.

A good location and well chosen menu which suited our guests plus my wife and I. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and wine and we will certainly return when we are next in the area.

Booked for a Sunday Lunchtime (1pm). Food was absolutely superb, could not fault it, and I like finding fault!
Only issue was that the service could have been slightly better. Upon clearing away starter (which was superb!) we were asked whether we required any more drinks, which was nice, but they didn't materialise and had to be reminded after finishing the main course!! Otherwise very good.
