We buck table for 7 people. Waiting time for starters increased since last time. Quality of main meals drooped to standards where you not sure if you still want to came back? At 17:00 on Sunday too many empty tables showing that restaurant not so popular as used to be. From positive point stake was perfectly cocked and manager of restaurant was very polite. I'm planning to came back one more time and hope food quality will back to standards it was.

We reserved a table for 530pm and was alittle disappointed at where we were seated. Although it was not very busy at this time of day the four of us were seated between two couples. We felt as though we were imposing on them and felt a bit uncomfortable when we laughed as both couples seemed to be out for a romantic meal. Also we felt as though we were squashed together in a corner. Having said all this we could not fault the service, the staff were very friendly and not over powering. The food was gorgeous and could not be faulted. Thought the drinks were just alittle over priced but overall an enjoyable time.

The evening, weather wise, was one of the best. Our table was outside the food was just delightful (especially the vegetables) and we had the company of a very brave or cheeky Robin strutting his stuff trying to acquire any left over food. The sad thing was, with the food being so good, I don't think the Robin was that successful in its attempts (not unless someone took pity on it).
Will be going back again in the near future that I am sure of.

This is my third visit to Jamie's Italian in Nottingham. I really enjoyed my last two visits which were a couple of years ago and I was keen to take some visitors to share the experience, especially eating in the garden. This time I was disappointed with the very slow service for our main meal. We waited nearly an hour with no comment from any of the staff, which would have helped us know at least that the food was on its way. We were then informed by the manager (I think?) that as I had ordered the lasagna that would hold things up as it takes 18 minutes to cook! Knowing this, could they have started it earlier? Again, I felt that it was inappropriate to try and excuse themselves and although we did get a perfunctory apology, perhaps a free drink on the house would have calmed my temper! The food was slightly above average and my two guests who had the burgers said they were ''okay' but not memorable. However, I would recommend it to a friend the proviso not to have the lasagna (!) and not to book in a hurry or you have a train to catch, which we did, so had to forget puddings and coffee. Mainly I would recommend it for the location, with the garden, which feels very summery.

Staff were friendly and welcoming, had the set menu, and didn't struggle at all to choose from the selection. My only criticism would be the chefs were a little hard on the salad vinaigrette which over powered all the other flavors in the starter.
