Everything from the greeting to our departure was first class.
This venue has the 'wow' factor so if you're looking to impress your fellow diner(s) Sketch will deliver. Even being delivered to our seat from the reception to the Lecture Room upstairs was wonderfully dramatic, we loved the pregnant pause before he opened the double doors to reveal the seating area itself.
We had the set tasting menu meaning that we had only to choose our main. The variety of tiny, beautiful, lovingly prepared starters each came with it's own explanation and suggested order of eating to maximize the taste enjoyment from each dish. The mains (she had fish I had meat) were just fantastic were beautifully presented also came with a little introduction to the ingredients of each dish.
The desert (she had the 3 variety I had the cheese) also didn't disappoint. The variety of 3 came with the introduction and suggested order of eating which continued to be a lovey touch. I went for the cheese selection and asked for a choice of the stronger cheeses, and I was not disappointed.
The eating experience was wonderful, the food excellent and the lecture room beautiful. The service was perfect, and I do not say this lightly. We were given an explanation for each dish and then allowed the time and space to get on and enjoy them. The wine was poured in a discreet way so that we could continue to indulge in each others company without be disturbed. Each of the staff were excellent, and there was not even a hint of being stuffy or snobby which can all too often spoil the experience.
This was not our first visit to the Lecture Room, and after yet another wonderful dining experience it will not be our last. I have no hesitation in recommending Sketch - Lecture Rooms for a wonderful dining experience.

Dined at 7.30 on Saturday evening in Lecture Room. From our greeting at the front door to a guided tour at the end of our evening truly exceptional staff. Such a diverse place from buzzing downstairs to serene quiet in the Lecture Room. The service and food were to die for. Dined on [$] each offer. Was exceptional value. Champagne and ginger cocktail was memorable. A truly special night. Will defenitely return!

It was the most amazing food and service I ever had! Fabulous, elegant, creative can describe the location and decoration. Excellent service! I will definitely recommend Lecture Room at Sketch! It's a terrific deal for this Michelin Star restaurant. You should taste it and you will go again and again!

We dined at 7.30pm in the main dining area which was very pleasant. The food was very good but we have eaten better for less expense.Service was very good but to us, the dining area lacked atmosphere and intimacy.

One word - exceptional. Delicious lunch with lots of delicate and eclectic food combinations, everything was perfect. I was expecting Sketch to be slightly pretentious but it was far from that. The service was excellent and we were greeted by extremely friendly staff, who later showed us around the whole of Sketch - fascinating art and design features. Sketch in Mayfair is at the old House of Dior, which has definitely influenced the stunning Art Deco feel of the Lecture Room. One of the best restaurants in London without a doubt.
