Very disappointing visit. We booked a table for 7 but they seated us on a table for 5 so two people had to stand. Wouldn't allow us to put 2 more chairs at the table then kept the 12.5% service charge on the bill!

We arrived early @ 7pm, downstairs was buzzing but the restaurant was empty. The waiter was attentive and informative. Food was outstanding but don't expect massive portions. I had the Octopus to start and wonderful beef for main, devine! Lovely Alsace Riesling by the glass. Lovely food and restaurant.

Sat upstairs in the first floor restaurant. Friendly, helpful service, organic selection of wines although prices went up quite quickly after the house choice. There was a choice of starters, sharing plates or larger main courses so something for everyone. Particularly liked the heritage tomatoes and goats cheese dish and the cherries and meringue for dessert.

Great as always. Yet another interesting wine to accompany creative food selection. 'Tapas-style' menu works well, and offers more opportunity to include even more creative vegetable dishes. Meat and fish superb. But the never traditional and always interesting wine list here always captures my heart!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The flavours in each dish were subtle and wonderful, and the selection is especially good for a vegetarian (as one of us was). I didn't think I would like sitting on a high stool - a change from the restaurant's previous incarnation - but it was surprisingly comfortable. And, of course, the location is great, with those large picture windows looking out on to the buzzing backstreets of Mayfair. My only comment, expensive, but, c'est la vie!
