The Chateau Briand and mushroom were stone cold the 'Lemon Meringue Pie with Orange Crème Fraiche' was a lemon sponge cake with orange sorbet. The waiter kept removing things from the table by barging in between 2 of our party who were talking without drawing attention to the fact that he was there which was very rude. Altogether a restaurant that we would not visit again nor recommend to anyone.

The venue was easy to find from Green Park and I arrived early but was still seated. When the waiter brought me the menu, which was exactly as advertised online, he mistakenly told me there were two courses to choose from but later corrected himself saying there were three. He also told me the meal came with a glass of wine but I told him I requested a non-alcoholic drink. He offered me a mocktail, which arrived shortly. It had a zingy citrus taste and was topped with ice and berries. The waiter took my order shortly after my drink arrived. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and I was pleased that the deal included the steak dishes.
The decor was beautiful and music that played when I entered was quite relaxing but it stopped before my meal was served and there only seemed to be two other diners, both of which were quite chatty, for a start and they left before my main course was served. During my dessert, a further guest arrived. My starter came quite quickly. Whilst eating my main, a few other people who allegedly dined in another part of the restaurant left. The ham hock and duck terrine had a lovely smoky taste, the chutney tasted a bit unusual and the toasted bread was served slightly warm. When I nearly finished my starter, the waiter offered me a warm crusty roll that I put some of my terrine and chutney in. My steak came very swiftly after my starter. It was cooked to my liking but a bit salty although the chips were chunky, hot and crisp and they came with dressed rocket. As I finished my main a member of waiting staff spoke on the phone quite loudly. When I finished, another server brought me the menu to choose a dessert but I had already ordered. I had a little more space when my sorbet arrived. It came topped with a delicious pistachio cookie. The mango sorbet was fragrant and the raspberry one was sweet (and the best one) but the strawberry one tasted like soap! Food service was good but the payment service was slower. Overall rating 4/5.

The quality, service, ambience couldn't be faulted. My only disappointment was that the star deal was not as advertised. I chose this restaurant as it stated that the three courses were from the a la carte menu. This was not strictly true as the choices were severely limited as we were only able to choose one of three items from each course. All the other restaurants I've used through your booking system have accurately stated the available menu and I've been delighted with the visits. Flemings need to follow suit. I would not visit this restaurant again on the basis of the star deal as it is.

I wasn't impressed with the food. The canapes were not fresh. The dessert that I ordered was a creme brulee but it wasn't done well and it didn't taste like an egg custard unfortunately and was too thick for a creme brulee.

The food was lovely and the staff attentive enough. The deal me booked was misleading so that put a dampener on my birthday meal. I e-mailed the restaurant ahead to confirm that we can have ANY starter, main and desert on the menu as part of the deal. The reply was yes but when we were given the menu we where told the items designed by celebrity chef would incur a £7 surcharge each.
