Excellent experience, with both service and food on the set menu superb. Makes us want to try the Taster menu next time. Was also good to have a great choice of well priced wines, where we were happy to buy another bottle rather than make on last !! Keep up the standards and we will keep returning

More about Ormer Mayfair

Led by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Shaun Rankin, Flemings Mayfair Hotel presents modern takes on classic cuisine at Ormer Restaurant. The stunning Art Deco-inspired interior is awash with the glamour and artistry of the 1920s.

Ormer restaurant in London is run alongside Shaun’s restaurant in Jersey: his passion for the island and its produce will be reflected in the Ormer menu. Cherry-picked Jersey ingredients will include fresh lobster, crab, oysters, hand-dived scallops, Jersey Royal potatoes, and herbs foraged form the shoreline.

Rankin’s new-style approach sees almost all ingredients sourced from within Jersey, with 90% sourced locally in the summer season. Produce grown, reared and caught by suppliers known personally are weaved through dishes like salt-baked sea bass with black olive caramel, or grouse with purple cabbage, blackberries and vanilla.

The glamorous dining room at Ormer restaurant in Mayfair features leather banquette seating, dark-wood panelling, glass tiles and bronze lighting. Find Ormer a 3-minute walk from Green Park Tube Station. Flemings Hotel is also home to The Drawing Room, serving classic afternoon teas.

Went for the Bookatable deal and it was very good - in fact very very good. The offer including a glass of champagne - but this was a very generous glass AND a choice of champagnes, cava or process. A simple menu with three starters, mains and puds - but I still felt spoilt for choice. Very good staff - professional and friendly. Highly recommended!!

excellent sophisticated food, interesting combinations (e.g. chocolate brownie with beetroot ice-cream, my partner's soufflé looked gorgeous); structured wine list; nice and quiet venue; attentive service. I have overheard them confirming that they would make porridge for a baby at the next table at 10pm - it was good to see them going an extra mile to cater for all customers

From start to finish a great experience.

The service was very friendly and they could not do enough for you.

The food was excellent. Very well presented and the taste was fantastic.

I would definitely come again and would highly recommend you try this restaurant.

I'm very fussy and hard to please but my experience at Ormer was almost faultless and I will be going back. The staff were very attentive and friendly and even substituted cheese as a dessert on the set menu. The food was incredible, the flavours and presentation. They will definitely earn a Michelin star in the near future. The only fault that I have is that they knew it was my birthday and promised to 'do something special' and didn't do anything, not even a candle in the dessert which was a little disappointing. So I highly recommend the Ormer, but perhaps not for a birthday celebration!

The hotel has had a wonderful refurbishment and feels very glamorous. The staff are attentive, however the food even though beautifully presented didn't match the surroundings. both the dishes I had, had an overwhelming aniseedy flavour to them which for me ruined both dishes and everything was oversalted to the point I couldn't actually finish my very small lunch dish of pork cheeks. I tried my friend's cod and that too was oversalted. Incredibly the woman on the next table also complained of her venison being oversalted. Great shame. The pudding was the best thing, probably because you can't oversalt a pudding!

Ormer is wonderful. Had a drink in the lovely bar as we arrived early. The main restaurant, was lovely as well. Although, brown the main colour, still bright. We were given an amouse-bouche (forgive the spelling) on the house, which was delicious. The whole meal was just fantastic especially the starter and mains. Also had a lovely wine, served by a friendly, knowledgable Sommelier He was part of what is a top notch service, in both the bar and restaurant; One of the best meals both of us have ever had. We got to different places through bookatable all of which have been at least excellent. And every so often we come across somewhere like Ormer where we think the meal cannot be topped. We will diligently have a quest to find if there is somewhere better. And certainly intend to return to Ormer. Stunning!
