Bad start.Waitress spilt a tray with 4 glasses of bubbly over our seats.Food was tasty and well-presented but all hot dishes were served luke-warm-at best which spoilt them. However, staff were friendly and attentive and bill was reduced because of the problems.

The food was very adverage and lacked any inspiration. We were served the wrong food twice and the trifle was something my 14 year old daughter could make.

We did enjoy the food, but sadly found the calamari a bit rubbery, the creme brûlée a little too eggy. I saw many reviews commenting on a lack of atmosphere in the evenings as the primary dining seemed to be lunch trade. We were not the only table when we dined, but it was less than 1/3 full. The bar had loud music coming from it so there was a bit of a sense of atmosphere. There was a lot of staff given the number of diners, but this meant we were asked several times by different people if we wanted to order and we had different staff waiting the table so no one knew which of us had ordered which dishes - a bit surprising when there was only 3 of us. All the staff were friendly and asked how the meal was but the lack of continuity interupted the dining experience. I imagine this place is at its best when full, we did not see that.

Lovely dining for new years eve. Friendly staff and exquisite flavoursome food.
The restaurant and bar are tastefully designed and sits in a nice location within the city.
