We had the express menu and the steak was fantastic! Food was delivered quickly and staff friendly. The wine was expensive at £23 a bottle but that's London prices I guess. We chose the location as we were going to watch a show at the barbican which is 5mins walk away.

I have already contacted the restaurant and told them what a most enjoyable evening we had. It was my wife's 70th birthday and the staff treated her, in fact both of us in an exemplary manner. They were friendly, discreet (as requested) and utterly professional. The food lived up to our high expectations.

It can get very loud so not really for a romantic dinner.

My colleague and I had a semi formal breakfast meeting. The breakfast was quite excellent and the staff were brilliant. We arrived late and probably overstayed our welcome, but at no point were we hassled out and nothing was too much trouble. Not sure how sensible it was to have a couple of 'Salty Sea Dogs' each. They may not have cleared our heads, but they made what was left of the morning go with a swing! Thankyou, it really was an absolute pleasure.

Fillet was slightly drier than I would have liked but still tasty. The sirloin was incredible, unfortunately we got there for a 9pm booking by which time the larger cuts were finished...

The service and wines are incredible, the sommelier was very passionate and we picked a fabulous Serghesio, Zinfandel.

Hawksmoor remains a firm favourite.

One for the carnivores, big steaks cooked perfectly. The bone marrow compliments the steaks and is highly recommended.

This is the second time I have visted the Hawksmoor for breakfast and both times I have been disappointed. The food was cold.

The Hawksmoor restaurants serve the best steaks in London hands down, it's impossible to order something that underwhelms. Every dish is perfectly though out, its obvious that ingredients are key part to what makes the restaurant so special. The staff are dressed casual but have all the experience and expertise you come to expect from fine dining restaurants, the result is a very relaxed and vibrant atmosphere. If you enjoy meat, there is nowhere else to look!

Good steaks, no-nonsense menu, great wine. Pricing at Hawksmoor is steep, but the meat speaks for itself.
