Overall great atmosphere, calm relaxed environment with helpful and friendly staff. As I was vegetarian the chef accomodated very well with change of sandwiches for our afternoon tea.

the setting was great, the only thing was the helicopters coming in and out but they were tolerable due to the views over the thames

I had the afternoon tea. It was delicious. I enjoyed the range of teas available and the view was absolutely wonderful. Perhaps an offer of champagne would have been appreciated however.

The food was very nice (afternoon tea). There was a mix-up since the booking website miscommunicated with the restaurant, but the on site manager sorted it out and delivered excellent customer service to us.

We had a lovely view of the Thames. The staff were amazingly attentive and the atmosphere festive. I would have loved a few more sandwiches though what we had was lovely. Thank you to the staff for such a lovely afternoon tea.

The staff tried their best, but the quality was very poor. As the restaurant is empty, it would be better if they offered a 2 course ALA carte menu, rather than a very limited buffet, which was just sitting there and quite cold. The roast options are only offered (red meat) pork and beef, no chicken or vegetarian. The beef joint was virtually raw, not medium and had to be sliced up and then fried in a pan, which was then over cooked. I wrongly assumed that a £15 2 course menu would be a main course and dessert or starter, but it was just a basic salad buffet and roast buffet. The desserts were £7 each (£28 for 4), so we declined. It's a shame and definitely not the standard expected for a 5 star Hotel. We loved the food with (previously owned) Hotel Verta and was looking forward to having a good Local again, but the restaurant needs to do so much more.

The afternoon tea was just amazing! All is fresh and tasty...! Very silent atmosphere and great river view... It was definitely a right choice! Very recommend to try a chocolate flavor tea.
