Dined in the restaurant last Saturday and was seated upstairs. Very dark and dingy with no atmosphere and terrible service, you seem to be forgotten about upstairs, however the food was fantastic so dined there again last night and requested a downstairs table. Great atmosphere, excellent service and once again excellent food. Will definitely be returning on a regular basis but only if seated downstairs.

Table was booked and we were seated on time
Orders were taken in a timely manner and cooked to perfection.
I ordered a glass of Italian red wine and did not like it. Although there were alternatives I declined and went for a cup of coffee.

Sadly on this occasion it was our worst experience. It was to celebrate my husbands birthday and although the food wasn't bad enough to complain it wasn't the best we had eaten there. We had the flatiron steak starter which was very tough and the camembert was not cooked enough to make it melt as it should have been to dip easily, the mains were fair although I found the seasoning over salty and my paprika chicken was over cooked and dry. Our son enjoyed his burger and my husbands chicken/rib combo was just a pass.

The biggest bug bear was no fault of the restaurant as we were sat next to a large party you were also celebrating a party but they were overly loud, swearing and fequently belching to their amusement. If there had of been somewhere else to sit we would have asked but it was full so we made the choice not to have desert and leave. This was the main reason we did not enjoy our dining experience.

On a positive note though the servers were very polite and served well. Would we dine their again yes although most likely not our first choice.

Food was good , it was all on the menu nothing off. Very busy waitress, had to wait ages for drinks to come to the table. Also came back to see what desserts we would like, but hadn't brought over dessert menu, she coped well but was far too busy for the amount of tables she had.
In fact it felt a bit like a cattle market with the seating in booths. We were close to the open grill area and it was very noisy. That said food was excellent and all was cooked to our requests.

Good service. Menu limited could have more fish type choices. Had the wild mushroom and chicken risotto. Risotto lovely but texture of the chicken was strange, not nice. Rest of meal enjoyable. Would suggest a different route to get to our table. Did not like walking between the kitchen and the 'service table' to get to table. It's a busy area with hot food and dishes being carried.
